4.5/5
4.5 Review from our book reader

I have been wanting to read this book for a long time and finally had the chance on a flight. Was able to read the whole thing from start to finish in the air. It was a great read. Very interesting to learn of the characters past and see how they come back to each other later in life after learning so many lessons. Would highly recommend.

Lovely and sad story of 2 young individuals trying to find their way. This story was easy to follow and really get into. I look forward to seeing this become a series.

It's Time To Heal" is such a well-written novel, that it is hard to put down. The characters are believable, and the emotions that this novel stirs up are powerful. The subject of colorism and race is a difficult one to write about, but Ms. Nkechi met it with success. Once I began to read this, I just had to finish it. It was that good...all 300 pages of it. I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with past family hurts and those who were and are dealing with the ugliness of colorism. You will not be disappointed!

This compelling book definitely fits the definition of a novel, an invented prose narrative that is usually long and complex and deals especially with human experience through a usually connected sequence of events. The writing was captivating. All of the characters were believable and I could easily relate to them especially to the main character. It was difficult to put the book down because I had to know what happened next. The human experience that the author writes about parallels the ‘unspoken experiences’ in my own life. Loved happy ending.
